Prayer for Compassion and Mercy

Dear Heavenly Father,

I humbly come before you now. I lay down all anger and bitterness in my heart. I pray that through Your Holy Spirit, You would guide me to complete forgiveness of those who have hurt and offended me. In Jesus’ name, I give them all to You, Lord. Help me to be merciful and compassionate right now.

Lord Jesus, Your Word says that Your forgive and remembers our sins no more. Help me to look at others the same way, forgiving them and remembering their sins toward me no more. Lord, give me a compassionate heart. Let me see Your children the way You do so that I can love them the way You do. In Jesus name. Amen.
