Freedom from Guilt & Shame

What is shame?

  • This is a painful emotion that results from feelings of guilt, shortcoming, or regret. This will usually bring sadness, depression, and self-loathing.

What is guilt?

  • Guilt is a feeling of deserved blame for an offense. This feeling can be heavy on one’s conscious and can bring anxiety, sleeplessness, and anger.

How does Jesus see you?

  • Jesus took on all your guilt and shame, He bore all your sins, and with the pouring out of His blood He made you clean. You don’t have to live with guilt and shame. Jesus paid the price for you to be free and He wants you to live a free, redeemed life. Give all your cares and burdens to our Heavenly Savior and let Him replace them with joy and freedom today.

Prayer for Deliverance

Dear Heavenly Father,

I humbly come before Your throne of Grace. Thank You for my life and for loving me enough to call me Your Child. Thank You for the good plans You have for me. Thank You, Lord God, for accepting me and giving me my identity in Christ. I accept all the plans You have for me.

Forgive me, Jesus, for allowing feelings of rejection and hurt to penetrate my heart. I repent of not standing on Your Word of truth concerning my life. Lord, cleanse me of any offense I carry in my heart. I forgive all those who have hurt me by rejecting me. I bless them and take on who I am in Your eyes right now, Lord. I am a Child of God. I am loved and highly favored. In Christ, I am the head and not the tail. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
