What is Mercy and what is Compassion?
The perfect example of these come from God our Father and Jesus Christ, the Son of God. When Jesus dwelt among us on earth, He showed mercy and compassion to sinful individuals like: the woman at the well, the lame man, the blind man from birth, and countless others in the Bible. He didn't leave them in their sinful lives, but He healed them out of love and told them to sin no more.
How amazing is that? He still does this today! God loves us so much that He understands we're not perfect, yet He answers our prayers and brings us into His kingdom.
"You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth."
Psalm 85:15
