Resurrection Power of Christ

This season is a celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because of His sacrifice, we live in the eternal hope of everlasting life and freedom in Christ. Glory be to Jesus who, out of love, laid down His life so that we would be raised to life in Him. The grave couldn’t hold Him and death couldn’t stop Him. Our Savior lives!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him… Isaiah 53:5

Prayer & Blessings

Lord Jesus, thank you for the eternal hope of everlasting life that I have in you. Thank you for being the sacrifice for my sins and paying a debt I could never pay on my own. I believe with all my heart that you died on the Cross and rose again on the third day. I believe that you conquered death so that the curse of sin would no longer have a hold on me. I have been set free. I have life in Christ. And today I celebrate the joy of your resurrection and receiving this supernatural gift of life and hope for my life. In Jesus name. Amen.

Scriptures

Matthew 20:17-19

Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”

Mark 8:31

He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.

John 12:23-25

Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Mark 16:5-7

As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”

Luke 24:6-7

“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’”
